At Warren Wilson, our student-athletes work hard in the fields and on the fields. You might go from a morning spent plowing with Doc and Dan, our campus draft horses to an afternoon plowing through the competition as a forward on our soccer team.

Our student-athletes compete in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association in the following sports:

In addition, our nationally-ranked cycling team offers athletic scholarships and competes in the following USA Cycling events:

And even if you’re not competing yourself, you’ll be part of the team as a spectator, cheering our student-athletes on to victory.











Warren Wilson athletic teams welcome all interested student-athletes regardless of level or experience.


Consider, for example, our Cycling team. The year they won the national championship, the team featured two freshmen riders with contrasting backgrounds. Freshmen Paul Wright came to Warren Wilson from New Zealand as a world-class rider. On the other end of the spectrum was Sophia Allen, who had never ridden a mountain bike before she joined the team in August. She got herself to a place where she could race for a national team just two and a half months later.

This is Warren Wilson’s Yoga Pavillion. It’s just one of dozens of ways our students stay fit.

In addition to walking our hilly campus and farm-to-table dining, you’ll stay fit with free classes and access to our fitness center, located in Devries Athletic Center. Our Athletic Center includes:

  • a 10,902 square foot gymnasium;
  • a complete weight-fitness room;
  • an aquatic center, including a 25-yard indoor swimming pool;
  • spin bikes, rowing machines and treadmills.

Free yoga (Kundalini, Hatha and Kripalu), Zumba, salsa dancing, contra dancing, meditation and more is all part of the Warren Wilson fitness experience.
